Free Local Skate Park in Nashville Georgia

The skate park in Nashville, Georgia is a small free outdoor park located across the street from the city's recreation Baseball fields right off of the Alma Highway. It is pads free and open from dawn to dusk. The park features a 4 and a half foot mini ramp with a 5 and a half foot extension, one flat rail with a kink, a 3 stair, step up, small hand rail, pyramid box, and grind box/manual pad. The park is built with wood and is covered with a dark "skate-lite" material to prevent from water damage. Despite it's small size, it's a great park for beginners, and the mini-ramp rides perfectly for advanced skaters.

The park was payed for by locals who did numerous fundraisers. It was built in during the summer of 2010 so it is a relatively new park. It was also partially designed by some of the local skaters so everything is built for skaters. Nashville's location is about 20 miles north of Valdosta, Georgia. Valdosta does not have a skate park so this park is well worth the drive, and will have you coming back numerous times for more. Free skate parks and parks that do not require helmets are hard to find, especially in South Georgia, and this one is a "must skate" if you live within at least an hour and a half from it's location.

The park has it's minor wears and tears like most outdoor wooden parks have, but local skaters feel free to fix problems as they arise. These ramps have not been purchased from a company that sells "pre-built" parks which makes the experience more enjoyable in my opinion. If you'd like to support local skateboarding and meet some true skateboarders, take the opportunity to check this one out!
